Torrance, California TAC Branch Relocation and Grand Re-Opening
The Credit Union branch at 19200 Grammercy Place on the Toyota Campus in Torrance, California has been relocated from the second floor to the first floor of the same building and will be opened for business May 1, 2008. This relocation provides easier and more convenient access for members visiting the branch. The new branch address is T106.
In addition to the relocation, this branch has been completely remodeled and since March 17, 2008 new hours have been implemented. The new hours are Monday to Thursday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, PT.
Come celebrate the new TAC branch location with our Grand Re-Opening the week of May 19 - May 23, 2008. During this week Western will be giving away gifts, including logo embroidered polo t-shirts and two chances to win a NEW MacAir Notebook, if you have three services or products with the Credit Union! System Updates
As part of the integration between Western and TFCU, Western has been evaluating the major systems used by both organizations. As part of this evaluation, it has been decided to use the online banking, bill pay and host computer system currently used by TFCU. The following details our progress on transitioning Western systems to TFCU systems:
ONLINE BANKING AND BILL PAY
Completed March 28, 2008. Western members are now using the same Online Banking and Bill Pay systems used by TFCU.
HOST COMPUTER SYSTEM
Western member data will be transferred to the system used by TFCU (Symitar) by June 2, 2008. To facilitate this transfer, Western branches, ATMs, shared branching, and online services will not be available beginning 12:00 pm on May 31, through 5:00 am on June 2, 2008, Pacific Time.
TFCU systems will not be impacted by this conversion and as such, TFCU Branches, ATMS and online services will remain available.
Once the Western member database is transferred to the new host computer system, efforts will begin to transfer the TFCU member data onto this same system. It is anticipated that this process will be completed by the end of August 2008. Be sure to watch your mail for additional information on when this transfer will occur and how it will impact TFCU members.
Product and Service Enhancements
Once Western and TFCU member data is housed within the same host computer system, Western will begin to implement new products and services, as well as adjust the features for existing products and services. Any changes to existing products and services will be communicated to members prior to implementation.
Plastic Card Update
One issue that many TFCU members raised during and after the merger is whether or not Western would continue to offer members the ability to have credit and/or debit cards with Toyota vehicle images. Western is pleased to announce that new card designs have been created and we are confident TFCU members will be proud to carry them in their wallets. And because we know that this is an important issue to TFCU members, we want your input on which card designs you prefer. Your opinion is important to us, so we will be posting the card designs for the new upcoming cards on western.org for you to vote on. We will notify you when the card designs are posted and we look forward to your input.
Logo Update
Consistent with Western's agreement with Toyota Motor Corporation, Western is transitioning from the TFCU name and logo:

It is anticipated that this transition will be completed by the end of the third quarter 2008, once the host system integration is complete. This transition will entail the following:
- Changing the branch and ATM signage from the TFCU logo to the Western logo.
- Sending member communications, including statements, on Western inventory.
- Creating a special website specifically for TFCU members, as well as Toyota team members and associates.
- Re-orders or re-issues of checks and plastic cards will be from the Western inventory.
Although the name and logo will change, Western's commitment, like that of TFCU, remains to provide high quality products and services that meet the needs our members.
