Information WESTERN Collects About You

Western collects Information about you from the following sources:

  • Information on applications and other forms and messages or e-mails received from you such as your name, address (including e-mail address), birth date, income, and social security number;
  • Information about your transactions with us or others including those companies that work closely with us to provide you with diverse financial products and services such as your account balances, credit card usage, your payment history or parties to the transaction;
  • Information received from consumer reporting agencies;
  • Information obtained when verifying the information you provide on an application or other forms (this may be obtained from your current or past employers, or from other institutions where you conduct financial transactions) such as your payment history, information concerning your transactions and income; and
  • Information obtained from consumer purchasing and census data providers, marketing researchers and public records such as your income, home ownership and marital status.

Parties Who Receive Information From WESTERN

Western does not sell any information relating to our members. In order to serve our members better and offer you diverse products and services, we may share all of the Information described above with:

  • Companies that assist us in administering and bringing you our products and services. The Information shared with these companies typically includes information to process transactions on your behalf, conduct our operations, and follow your instructions as you authorize or protect the security of our financial records. These companies may include check and statement printing companies, mail houses, and data processing vendors;
  • Businesses with whom we have a joint marketing agreement and we partner with to offer a broader array of products and services. These businesses typically include financial companies such as insurance companies, mortgage servicing companies, securities firms:
  • Companies that perform marketing or other services on our behalf,
  • Consumer and credit reporting companies;
  • Any other affiliate or nonaffiliated third party, as permitted by law or upon your consent or request.

We may disclose information when required by subpoena or other legal process in accordance with State and/or Federal law.

WESTERN FEDERAL CREDIT UNION will protect your Information.

We restrict access to Information about you to those employees who need to access your Information to maintain your accounts, meet your needs or to provide products or services to you. Our employees may also access your Information when considering a request from you for additional services or when exercising our rights under the law or any agreement with you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal and state regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information. As a condition of employment, our employees sign a confidentiality agreement concerning your nonpublic personal information.

Disclosure of Information About Former Members

We will not share information collected about former members or nonmembers, except as may be permitted or required by law.
