Branch Manager

Location: Hawthorne, CA

Ensures compliance with Credit Union policies and procedures. Supervises and performs functions as needed of the Supervisor, Branch or Senior Branch Representatives, Member Service Representative and/or Teller. Monitors lending functions including, but not limited to, providing loan information and processing and funding loans as needed. Trains, guides and directs employees to obtain maximum use of personnel by clearly defining their duties and by establishing performance standards. Oversees cash control, inventory and security for the branch. Oversees balancing activities including ATMs, Cash Dispensing Machines (CDMs), etc. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred, with a minimum of three years related experience in a financial institution. Requires a minimum of two-year supervisory experience. Must have thorough knowledge of Credit Union services, products, procedures, and lending. Requires the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with individuals and groups.

Collector

Location: Hawthorne, CA

Seeking an experienced collector with a positive attitude, excellent work ethic, and prior banking or credit union experience to work with members to make arrangements for repayment on delinquent loans. Some responsibilities of the position include: Receive and make phone calls to members to discuss delinquent accounts and arrange payments, utilize collection software to document and summarize accounts, analyze credit reports, imaged documents, and collection comments on delinquent accounts Initiate skip trace action to obtain additional information, contact references and other lenders, review and research vehicle impounds and follows up regularly, and maintain bankruptcy log. Requirements include excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, and a strong, dedicated work ethic, as well as two years of previous experience with collections in a banking or credit union setting, preferably with auto collections knowledge. The ability to work independently but also contribute to the team is essential, along with basic knowledge of collection techniques, skip tracing, small claims actions, and bankruptcy proceedings. The ability to communicate effectively, high school diploma or equivalent, and proficiency with word processing software also required.

EFT Representative - Part Time

Location: Torrance, CA

Specializes in duties related to the maintenance of the Credit Union's Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT) operations, including processing, maintaining, and balancing ACH Fedline files, tapes, SEG, exception payroll, and ATM Disputes / Provisional Credit general ledgers. Also processes and posts adjustments, return deposit items, including member notification, account adjustments, and balancing the related general ledgers. Researches and processes exceptions associated with EFT and ACH receivables. Must successfully maintain records and sensitive documents in compliance with rules and regulations set by the appropriate regulatory agency and in accordance with Credit Union policy. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of one year experience in a financial institution in ACH / Payroll rules and regulations. Requires the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with individuals and groups and proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing software applications.

Executive Secretary

Location: Hawthorne, CA

Supports the CEO, COO, and other members of Credit Union's Senior Management Team. Responsibilities include screening correspondence, sorting and directing mail, typing and reproducing items for Board of Directors meetings, taking thorough notes for meetings, preparing documents and developing spreadsheets for tracking, coordinating Executive staff's vacation schedules for Executives and their staff members, completing time cards if necessary, as well as coordinating meetings for CEO, Senior Management Team, and other departments. This position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with advanced executive level secretarial / administrative training and a minimum of five years related experience. Requires the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, high proficiency in spreadsheets and word processing software applications, as well as the ability to take dictation. The ability to maintain confidentiality is of upmost importance in this role.

Manager of Member Services

Location: Torrance, CA

Oversees the Account Services and Operations Service Center back-office departments. The Operations Service Center functions encompass technical and operational support for branches, call center, and back office departments, information verification and wire transfers, and member email management. This position also oversees the management and administration of systems, including but not limited to systems such as, Epysis, Nautalis, and Imagen. The Account Services functions this position is responsible for overseeing include imaging, retrieval requests, subpoenas, return mail, remittance processing, mail and ATM deposits, and balancing/reconciling. This position ensures compliance with rules and regulations pertaining to new accounts, IRA processing, sharedraft processing, mail posting, and imaging/retention of permanent records. High School Diploma or equivalent required with five years related experience in a financial institution, with two years supervisory/managerial experience. Requires knowledge of Episys, the ability to handle multiple priorities and projects, and the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software applications is also required. Knowledge of imaging systems and cash dispensing machines preferred.

Manager of Software Development

Location: Torrance, CA

Position oversees Western's website and online presence as well as "Symitar" Episys functions. Responsibilities of this position include oversight of design and development for all aspects of Western's online presence including the website, online banking, intranet, extranet, etc. as well as the oversight of design and development for all Episys reports, workflows, data extracts, and Symforms. Also handles the creation and enforcement of development life cycles for host and online applications as well as the implementation of quality control procedures and methodology over host and online applications. Requirements include three to five years relevant experience in managing development of host applications and high-traffic websites, thorough knowledge of HTML, XHTML, ASP, .NET, Visual Studio, Open Source, XML, Episys Power On, Web 2.0 tools, Javascript, Flash, SQL Server, Web Services, and SharePoint, as well as project management experience. High school diploma or equivalent required, however Bachelor's degree and credit union experience is preferred.

Member Services Representative

Location: Torrance, CA

Provides exceptional service to our members. Responsibilities include receiving and disbursing funds, posting deposits and loan payments, opening accounts and IRA's, assisting with ATM, debit, and VISA cards, and inputting, processing, and funding loans. Two years minimum related financial institution experience, as well as a positive, professional attitude, and a willingness to learn and grow are a must. Some Saturday work is required as well as the ability to travel to other South Bay locations as needed. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two years experience in a financial institution. Thorough knowledge of teller functions, new accounts, and loan experience required. The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing as well as proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing software applications is essential.

Operations Service Center Supervisor

Location: Torrance, CA

Western Federal Credit Union is seeking a Supervisor for the Operations Service Center. The Operations Service Center is a back-office department that is responsible for information verification and wire transfers, technical and operational support for all branch, call center, and back office functions, and member email management. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of department functions, including, but not limited to, email verification, wire transfers, information verification, and operational systems, completing second-level resolution for issues, tracking trends of member and team member issues to identify and carry our appropriate issue resolution, providing an expert level of technical support and completes more complex transactions, management and administration of systems, including, but not limited to, Episys, Nautalis, Imagen, and live person chat, and counseling, performance evaluations, training, motivation, staff meetings, and discipline. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of three years related experience in a financial institution with two years supervisory experience. Requires knowledge of Episys, the ability to handle multiple priorities and projects, the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet applications. Real Estate Loan Servicer

Location: Hawthorne, CA (3 Positions)

Promotes, processes, underwrites, and services real estate loan products, services, and programs. The ideal candidate will possess a complete working knowledge of real estate loan products, programs, policies, procedures, and all governing regulatory laws and guidelines. Knowledge of all operational functions required to perform mortgage servicing is essential, including ensuring all regulatory aspects of escrow impound accounts are adhered to, completing required government and investor reporting on or prior to deadlines, ensuring all regulatory aspects of variable rate loans are adhered to, and completing detailed due diligence quality examinations of loan files as required for regulatory and secondary market investor compliance. This position is also responsible for responding to member and staff inquiries within established time guidelines and meeting and exceeding department performance standards and production goals. Requirements include three to four years of loan processing and/or underwriting experience, preferably in a financial institution, the ability to conduct an analysis of applicants' credit status and recommend alternatives if needed, and a broad knowledge of credit fundamentals, lending regulations, and Secondary Market underwriting and servicing requirements. Experience with modifications, subordinations, and appraisal review a plus. The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing and proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing applications are essential. High school diploma or equivalency required.

Senior Branch Representative

Location: Camarillo, CA

Performs a number of duties related to branch operations, including teller transactions, opening new accounts and lending functions. Multitasking is required and a positive outlook is a must. Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two years related experience in a financial institution. A minimum of one-year branch management supervisory experience preferred. The candidate must have thorough knowledge of all Teller and New Accounts functions including branch back office processes. Candidate must be recognized as enthusiastic, positive and have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with individuals and in group settings.

Senior Mortgage Collector

Location: Hawthorne, CA

Responsible for contacting members with delinquent loans to make arrangements for repayment while providing assistance with the coaching and leadership of staff and higher level departmental functions. Assists Collection Manager and Supervisor with escalated member issues and monthly delinquency and charge-off reports. Analyzes credit reports, receives and makes phone calls to members to discuss delinquent accounts and to make payment arrangements, and discusses collection strategy with supervisor and recommends pay plans and/or extension requests. Will be responsible for collections and and handling of mortgage loans including foreclosures and short sales and must have prior experience with these duties. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with some college preferred. Requires a minimum of three years related experience, with one year lead or supervisory experience required. Requires basic knowledge of collection techniques, skip tracing, Small Claims actions, bankruptcy proceedings, and real estate collections. Requires the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Proficient in word processing software application.

Teller - Full Time
